it makes me really sad when attractive girls are unhappy with their appearance, but i think i kinda understand why. let’s say you’re jealous of how someone looks, what do you see when you look at them? you see them, as they are. simple, right? now, what do you see when you look in the mirror? you see a reflection. a representation of who you are. representations of things are open to different perceptions, representations are not the real thing. they are not the real you. when you look in the mirror, you see a person self conscious of how they look, because that is what your mind has taught you to see.

what does everyone else see when they look at you? they see you as you really are. they see someone who is fucking beautiful, someone who should start to realise how special they really are. next time you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see, promise me you’ll remember one thing: seeing isn’t always believing.
